Faustine Steinmetz

During the summer 2016 I undertook a 4 week internship at Faustine Steinmetz leading up to their LFW SS17 show.

Initially inexperienced with embroidery, I took on the task of contributing to embroidering the garments within the collection, including the trousers, the pocket-bag accessory and the "mermaid dress" that was reported to have 'stolen the show'.

I also created the Swarovski shoes as well as assisting with the creation of the Swarovski Jeans.

This experience was extremely valuable as not only did it give me an insight into the industry and fashion week, but it also gave me the confidence and expertise to work and apply myself in the fashion environment.

Faustine was an amazing designer to work under; an extremely innovative and creative designer exploring denim and the ways this traditional material and classic silhouettes can be evolved to create youthful and modern garments and collections.

I acknowledge these images as not my own, taken from online and online articles as reference to my contribution to the Faustine Steinmetz SS17 collection.
